Plastic injection molding:
Plastic injection molding is a manufacturing process for producing parts from plastic materials and is widely used for a variety of parts, from the smallest component to entire body panels for vehicles.
After a plastic product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, injection molds are made by a mold maker from metal, usually either steel or aluminum, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part.
Plastic is then fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and injected into a mold cavity where it cools and hardens to the shape of the injection mold.
With the use of plastic parts on the rise in almost every industry, combined with growing pressure to reduce costs and cut time to market, the need for plastic injection molding simulation tools that provide deep insight into the plastic injection molding process has never been greater.
Injection molding is the most commonly used manufacturing process for the fabrication of plastic parts. A wide variety of products are manufactured using injection molding, which vary greatly in their size, complexity, and application. The injection molding process requires the use of an injection molding machine, raw plastic material, and a mold. The plastic is melted in the injection molding machine and then injected into the mold, where it cools and solidifies into the final part. The steps in this process are described in greater detail in the next section.

4.Insert molding: which allows for other components such as threaded brass inserts to be completely integrated into the plastic molded part in cycle.
5.Over molding: which uses different component materials and integrates them into a single part, much like what you might see on a toothbrush, where a soft elastomer material is molded onto a rigid handle.
